York Recorded Music Society is a classical music listening/appreciation group. We meet monthly on Saturday afternoons from September to May.

No knowledge of classical music is necessary, the society is open to anyone who loves music and would enjoy the opportunity to listen in a concentrated way and in the company of others; we’re a friendly group!
We listen to music played from CDs on good-quality equipment. Programmes are usually presented by members but we also have some guest speakers from time to time.
Our meeting venue is Dower Court, William Plows Avenue, Heslington Road, York YO10 5AD.
Meetings start at 2.0pm and finish at around 4.30pm.
The membership fee is £15 per year. For people who just want to come occasionally we charge a visitor fee of £4 per meeting which includes refreshments.
