Da Elia Pizza & Restaurant, a family-run Italian restaurant in Malton, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Best Restaurant/Food Business category at The UK Small Business Awards.

The recognition marks another milestone for the business that began in 2023 from a small food van. Da Elia moved into its permanent home on Castlegate in April 2024, developing its dine-in, takeaway and delivery services while keeping the personal, family-run character at the heart of the business.

The business expanded in 2025 with the opening of Elia’s Corner, a smaller morning takeaway for breakfast, lunch and fresh food to go. In 2025, Da Elia achieved 15th place in the Best Restaurant category. As a 2026 finalist, Da Elia is now through to the final judging round and will compete for a place in the National Top 10.

The UK Small Business Awards 2026 event will take place on 19 December 2026 at The Eastside Rooms in Birmingham, where the National Top 10 will be revealed.
