A word from the Park Lane Healthcare Chairman

Hello to all our families, friends, and residents at The Hall. After a busy Christmas and start to the year, we are beginning to return to our familiar routine at The Hall with our activities schedule also quickly filling up.

Recently, we immersed ourselves in the festivities of Burns’ Night, enjoying traditional haggis neaps and tatties, followed by a clootie dumpling with a whiskey cream, for dessert.

I’d like to extend our gratitude to the families and friends who visited our home during the festive season. Your visits created cherished memories that will be remembered for a lifetime. Thank you for being an integral part of our extended family.

For anyone interested in learning more about our vibrant community, please feel free to reach out to Diane Hagan, our registered manager, at 01751 474789, or visit our Facebook page for a glimpse into our daily lives.

A Cheese and Wine Tasting Experience

A highlight during the festive period saw our residents channel their inner sommelier, embarking on a gastronomic voyage of cheese and wine-tasting.

During the evening, our residents were taken on a virtual European tour as they savoured a variety of cheese from across the channel — perfectly paired with delicious merlot and chardonnay.

Laughter and stories flowed freely as residents shared their favourite pairings. It was a delightful evening, celebrating the finer things in life.

First Flower Arrangements of the Year

The start of a new year has brought a burst of colour and creativity to The Hall as our residents have showcased their artistic talents.

An annual tradition brought the ladies of The Hall together to brighten up the home for the new year, arranging fresh flowers – adding a touch of nature’s beauty to our surroundings.

Hosted in our orangery, the room has been transformed into a hub of creativity, buzzing with the sounds of laughter and cheerful gossip. The talented ladies crafted some stunning displays with each arrangement telling a unique story, reflecting the individual personalities and preferences of those who contributed to this collective masterpiece.
