Hello…from everyone at your local hospice, St Leonard’s

by Handymag

We hope you are all keeping safe and well in these difficult times.

Here at St Leonard’s we have been working hard on our #Unite+Protect campaign which is all about us uniting together with our supporters and giving back to the community we serve, and I have to say we have been truly humbled by the desire people have to help each other at this time and the support which has been given to our campaign.

Ultimately, we want to make sure you know that St Leonard’s Hospice is here for you, whether it’s providing activities for the kids, virtual dance lessons, asking a loved one if they ‘Care for a Cuppa’?, sending a virtual hospice hug, access to wellbeing support and resources, or support with your own fundraising activities. We are here for you!

A resource we have recently launched is our telephone bereavement support service. This service is available to talk you through the best way we can support you, provide a listening ear, emotional support and to signpost you to other services and resources you may find helpful. This service is open to all adults aged 18+, whether your bereavement is linked through the Hospice or not, Monday – Friday 10am – 4pm, and until 7pm on Thursdays. Just call 01904 777 772 to speak to a fully trained member of staff.

We also have a great opportunity to get creative this month with the launch of our ‘design your own sunflower competition’! Get creative and support St Leonard’s at the same time! You can download your sunflower template from our website, and the winning designs will feature on a special Hospice postcard.

Once again we want to say a huge thank you to everyone in our community for your support in uniting to protect your local hospice. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that we can continue to provide the care needed by our patients and their families, not only during the current crisis but long into the future as well. Please join us, in whatever way you can.
