In aid of Marie Curie
Riding on the success of the Great Daffodil Appeal, which raised an incredible £4,638.55 in Ryedale alone, Marie Curie are asking readers to consider hosting a Blooming Great Tea Party this June.
Your support is invaluable in helping the charity carry on caring for people living with a terminal illness and their loved ones.
What’s more, there are even more people and their families who will need support from Marie Curie in the coming years. That’s why they’re on the lookout for hosts of their Blooming Great Tea Party, which will take place during June.
It’s an easy and fun way to fundraise – you simply get together with friends, family or colleagues for a tea party, bake sale of tea-rriffic tea break and ask for donations in return. It really is a piece of cake!
Malton’s own Co-op Funeralcare have already signed up to host a tea party this year, and are starting to make plans for the cakes to bake and people to invite.
Lorraine, the Funeral Manager at Malton Co-op Funeralcare, says “We signed up to support Marie Curie by hosting a Blooming Great Tea Party in our branch in June and would encourage all Malton residents and businesses to do the same. A cup of tea can do so much good!”
By hosting a tea party this summer you’ll help Marie Curie nurses provide nursing care and vital emotional support in people’s own homes.
