Howardian Helpers was founded by Lucy Lowther five years ago and has grown from strength to strength. Now employing over 20 wonderful staff, we are able to offer our services 24/7 and cover areas within and around the Howardian Hills, from Thirsk and Easingwold right across to Malton and Helmsley. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for our clients, while promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.
We offer a wide and diverse range of services to support both the elderly and vulnerable in need.These range from general household duties, outreach support for vulnerable adults, help with daily tasks such as general housework to meal preparation, attending medical appointments to prompting with medication and getting out and about to enjoy our beautiful surroundings and so much more. We are totally client led and offer a very unique service which puts the customers needs first.
We provide both daytime and overnight support and also offer holiday respite cover. We enable our clients to foster, maintain and cherish their independence, empowering them in their day to day living both at home and beyond.
We have extensive understanding and experience in looking after clients with specific needs such as dementia. We also have experience of many other ailments and conditions that growing older or being vulnerable brings. What’s important though is that we offer friendship and compassion as well as a range of practical tasks tailored to the individual client.
