The event began with a launch night on the Friday at the New Smithy Arms, Swinton, where we held various games and a very successful raffle. The Bruder Combine Harvester kindly donated by Ripon Farm Services was very popular! We also had bidding for a surprise box which was very generously donated by Merry Dale’s Glamping Bell Tents.
The Tractor Run began at 10am from P Farrow and Sons scrapyard in Swinton. Passing through various villages en-route, we made our first stop at the Bay Horse Ale House in Burythorpe. The villages made us feel really welcome whilst admiring all the tractors.
The second stop of the day was at the Spotted Cow in Malton before finishing at the New Smithy Arms, Swinton, where the raffle was held.
The Cariss family wish to express a huge thank you to all the local businesses for their support with prizes and also to all those that helped with the Run.
A fantastic total of £2200 was raised, which has been donated to the Friends of Malton Hospital.
