Malton & Norton Rotary, during these times of different and challenging needs. have continued to support the community.
The club members, where possible, are out and about helping others , continuing to support community and individual needs, as well as providing support to voluntary groups out in the community.
They were very pleased to be able to give financial support immediately to the Ryedale Scrubs activity to provide local key workers with PPE. Club President Martyn Herring is shown with Ryedale Scrubs founder Henny Clark, offering the Branch’s support of this great local initiative.
They are particularly pleased that members have quickly mastered online meetings, with most engaging with such technology for the first time, enabling members to use their new skills to continue business as normal, keeping in touch socially as a group, and also then with extended family and friends.
The club has also increased its use of Facebook and Twitter to promote Rotary and other activity, connecting regionally, nationally and globally with the activities of Rotary through social media.
Given the fantastic response of the local community to volunteering, and to keep this effort going for the immediate and future needs, the Branch would welcome any new members looking to support Rotary aims.
