A word from our Chairman

Spring is in the air and spirits are high as we look forward to the warmer months, but also reflect on what has been a joyous period – particularly the events of Mother’s Day.

Across all our homes we have always encouraged residents to embrace special occasions, and especially those which have significant meaning. Our activities teams work incredibly hard in making these days memorable, which was replicated on Mother’s day.

The team at The Hall are bringing back their very popular day trips, and it was great to see everyone enjoy the afternoon out at the New Inn pub to kick it off in style.

The Gentleman’s Club

A new weekly get-together has begun for the gentlemen living at The Hall. The men decided it would be nice to have some time without the ladies where they can chat about boy things, but more importantly enjoy a beer and some nibbles. Also known as the Puzzle Group, the name was chosen to put the women off from joining their club!

So far it has been a roaring success and for some of the men, it is becoming the highlight of their week!

Mother’s Day Celebrations

Last month we celebrated Mother’s Day, which is always a special day for all the mums living at The Hall. This year it was lovely to invite family members to join us for some afternoon tea, and for our resident mothers to get the opportunity to spend time with their loved ones.

All Aboard the Hall’s world cruiser

Last month we set off on our virtual world cruise, and docked in Monaco for a night at the Rose Ball, where residents enjoyed a lavish dinner before showing off their celebrity knowledge during a quiz about Grace Kelly and her family history.
