A word from our chairman
Three bank holidays and a coronation has made it a month to remember for everyone at The Hall.
The coronation weekend was certainly a highlight for everyone and was thoroughly enjoyed thanks to our amazing activities team. Many of our residents have now been fortunate enough to see two monarchs take the throne in their lifetime and cherish the special occasion.
It’s fair to say there has been a lot of celebrations in recent weeks with plenty more fun activities and events planned throughout the year.

God Save the King
The coronation marked the beginning of an era for King Charles III with people up and down the country coming together to celebrate the special occasion. At The Hall we were no exception and had activities planned weeks in advance.
Over the course of the weekend, residents took part in royal themed activities and sang the national anthem on numerous occasions. Residents tucked into a large feast during the coronation street party before being treated to an ice cream by the Velo Ice Cream Company.
After their delicious desserts, residents hopped on the vintage bus for a tour of Thornton le Dale to take in the festivities taking place across the local community.

Games Galore
The warmer days and the longer nights mean the popularity for outdoor games have rocketed in recent times. New additions like wheelchair football and balloon tennis have been a regular activity at The Hall with children from Thornton Dale C of E Primary School recently visiting us for some indoor rounds of the popular tennis game.
