Young Voices Rehearsals at The Hall

Pupils from Thornton le Dale primary school needed some practice in front of an audience before performing at the Young Voices competition and knew that their friends at The Hall would be the perfect audience.

A highlight during the rehearsals was the performance of Stand by Me, which was well received by our residents who couldn’t resist joining in and dancing along.

Dignity Action Day

Dignity day was a special day for everyone at The Hall and provided an opportunity to invite year two pupils from Thornton le Dale primary school along to join us. Residents created dignity hearts with the children before taking advantage of nice weather and going for an afternoon stroll.

It was also lovely to welcome many other friends and family to The Hall, with many participating in our red theme for the day. We are very grateful for the donations to our activities agenda, which will help contribute towards events like these in the future.

Homes for Hedgehogs

During February, our residents celebrated National Nest Box Week through a variety of activities with plenty of chances for residents to showcase their skills. Nest boxes were made for smaller birds and owls, as well as hedgehogs, with the hope of rehoming some of these lovely little creatures from Pickering Hedgehog Rescue in the future.

A word from our chairman

We continue to have a jam-packed start to the year with our popular inter-generational visits dominating our schedule.
Our longstanding relationships with community organisations are blossoming more than ever before, and It’s lovely to see residents embracing the opportunity to mix with locals and friends of The Hall.

Last month, through Dignity Action Day, we recognised the work from our staff and their constant and dignified approach to the care of all our residents. It was great to share our values and welcome our great friends at the Thornton le Dale primary school.
