Community Catalysts offer a free one-to-one coaching programme in Ryedale to help people set up and run their own care and support the business.
The free coaching programme is already supporting people in Ryedale to realise their ambition to have their own business. Hear from two people who have been through the programme and now support people in their communities.
Having the support from the programme has meant I’ve not missed anything [and] I’ve been able to get a portfolio together and I was able to launch successfully. Caring is all I’ve done my working life and I can’t imagine doing anything else. I really want to help my community too, and this is the way to do it. I love getting out there and being hands-on.”
— Yasmin, Beesupported
I have always been a caring person and have a lot to give. Going through the programme has developed my confidence and helped me believe I can achieve. I am so excited I have now got my own business and am able to offer what people want and need.”
— Sam, Direct Social Care
There are many benefits of running your own business: Sam and Yasmin wanted the flexibility of offering excellent care to people in their community and having quality time with their own families.
