York Model Boat Club is based in York, with their own idyllic sailing lake and clubhouse at Laytham Park, York, YO42 4PS.
Members usually sail on Saturday afternoons, Sunday mornings and Wednesday afternoons/evenings, weather permitting. Members can also access the lake and facilities and sail any day or evening, accompanied for safety (see club rules). You can also keep dry, warm and still sail!
New members are always welcome. Adult membership is £30pa and children £15pa (when accompanied by a responsible adult). You can even arrange to have a go before you decide. The Club does keep restrictions on membership numbers, so there is no overcrowded sailing which all adds for an enjoyable sailing experience.
