Wednesday 7th October at 7pm at the Maypole Room at Poppleton Community Centre
Rotary is a global network of “people of action” who unite to solve problems, promote peace and create lasting change. We offer meaningful ways to create lasting positive change, expand leadership skills, build lifelong friendships with people in your community and around the world. Every project and partnership helps you become part of something bigger than yourself, whatever your skills or interests you can find your place in Rotary.
For more than a century we’ve bridged cultures and connected continents to help solve the world’s most persistent challenges – ie Polio. We are involved in promoting peace, fighting disease, supporting education, protecting the environment, providing clean water and growing our local economy.
Many of you will recognise our Father Christmas Float which we have pulled round parts of Acomb, Bishopthorpe, Copmanthorpe, The Poppletons, Tadcaster Road area and Woodthorpe for many years raising tens of thousands of pounds for Rotary charities.
If this is of interest and you would like to hear more about “Rotary International” then we would like to invite you to come and join us in the Maypole Room at Poppleton Community Centre on Wednesday October 7th at 7pm where we will talk about the Rotary Organisation and the Rotary Club of York Ainsty in particular.
We are a project- based organisation operating in the “Ainsty ” area of York and look forward very much to talking to you about not only local projects but also our involvement in the international field. Please come along, share in our fellowship and see what Rotary has to offer you. Rotary is open to everyone.
