Local Presenter and Skateboarder Ryan Swain from Malton is skateboarding a gruelling 100 miles this May in support of Cancer Research UK, in a bid to raise money and awareness for it’s wheel 100 appeal.

He will be kicking and pushing his way all over North Yorkshire to rack up the miles in exchange for sponsors and donations which are going to an amazing cause.
Ryan said “It’s one close to my heart as my father Paul has had cancer three times in different places and is thankfully still with us but I know the pain and trauma it can cause not just to victim but also their family.” He also added if you rollerskate, skateboard, cycle you can get involved by going to the Cancer Research UK website and signing up.
It comes 10 years on from Ryan’s last skateboarding record which was set on May 5th 2012 in memory of Laura Louby Tierney and he skated 56.2 miles in 5 hours.
