Whether or not this is a good thing is up for debate, and, of course, all of it seems to be designed to cut out people.

There are excellent applications available where the customer experience is enhanced by removing the human element. However, when it comes to selling your home, it is so intimately intertwined with people and their everyday lives, it is difficult to deliver the service people expect and need without real human interaction.
It’s no secret that moving home, or even just dealing with the sale of an empty property, is one of the most stressful processes many people will ever be involved in. There have been various attempts to automate the estate agency industry over recent years allowing sellers and buyers to take on much of the work of the agent through the use of technology and call centres. However, almost all have eventually failed once the majority of customers decide it has added to the stress. Often what sellers thought was an initial financial saving, ends up being a net loss once a lower sale price, protracted time and emotional stress is taken into account.
