Watermark began in 2005, when 3 friends set out to create an independent plumbing and bathroom merchant with strong Yorkshire values.

Their goal was simple: to build a merchant business that could offer the best brands, remain flexible on pricing provide outstanding support for our customers, and help develop an industry they could truly be proud of.
That vision became a reality with the success of Watermark Malton, followed by the opening of York and Huddersfield. Over the last two decades, the business has continued to evolve and is now a firmly established independent merchant, with people at the heart of everything we do our valued customers and our wider Watermark family.

In our bathroom showrooms, we offer dedicated design appointments where our experienced designers take the time to understand your needs, budget, style, and space. Using CAD design technology, we bring your vision to life and can also assist with Zero VAT disability purchases.

Our trade counters are staffed by knowledgeable and experienced teams who are always ready to support local tradespeople. We offer credit services, hassle-free returns, delivery direct to site, and, most importantly, the coffee machine is always on.

Current bathroom trends are centred around calming, earthy tones paired with brassware in gold, brass, and nickel finishes, think Spa Vibes. That said, there will always be a special place in our hearts for traditional bathroom suites with timeless chrome fittings.
