The Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Challenge VIRTUAL 2020

In aid of Ryedale Special Families

The 10th anniversary Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Challenge was planned for the 4th and 5th July but, sadly, has been cancelled along with many other local events.

The event had riders covering 144 miles over two days and raising much needed funds for Ryedale Special Families.
Instead Ryedale Special Families invites anyone to cycle the 144 miles ‘virtually’ by accumulating their choice of distances, at a time and in a location that’s convenient to them, but of course abiding by the Government guidelines in place at that time.

Riders will be able to record their distances on a special ‘Virtual 2020’ Strava Club App.

Rob Davies, RSF fundraiser, says,

The virtual ride is non-competitive and fun and needs to be completed between 5th June and 5th July 2020. It is open to road or static exercise bike users.

Entry is free to anyone who entered this years cancelled event and just £5.00 to anyone else wishing to take part. There’s a certificate on completion as well as a commemorative t-shirt to anyone raising over £50.00 for the charity.

Full details on how to enter are available on the website: by emailing or calling organiser Rob Davies on 07957 374787.
