We’ve got 2021 behind us and now is the time to focus on what we want in 2022. Aside from world peace and an end to the pandemic there may be some more personal goals, shedding those extra pounds you gained over the festive season and improving your overall health is a goal for many.
Part of our general health is our oral health and poor oral health is associated with a reduction in general health. Gum disease, in particular, has been associated with diabetes, heart disease and dementia.
The good news is that for most people, healthy gums are fairly easy to attain. Brushing twice a day and the daily use of interdental sticks or floss is enough.
For some though, gum health needs regular professional maintenance to stop tooth loss. If your gums regularly bleed on brushing or you can see them shrinking back don’t wait for it to get worse get professional help and not only will you improve the chances of keeping your teeth but also improve your general health.
For great advice on gum health book an appointment by calling Jan and start the journey today.
